The Oxley is looking for Server Assistants to join our front-of-house team.
Every position in a restaurant matters. We are looking for people who enjoy being part of a team, take pride in their work and understand that valuable service comes from paying attention to the details.
A successful Server Assistant must be alert, engaged and ready to respond to the needs of our customers, servers and managers.
The Role
Taking pride in this position means taking ownership of your responsibilities:
- Setting, clearing and resetting tables properly and promptly.
- Maintaining water service and keeping tables clean throughout the meal.
- Running food accurately and efficiently.
- Keeping service stations clean, stocked and organized.
- Maintaining polished glassware and cutlery.
- Supporting servers and managers throughout service.
- Keeping the dining room clean and well presented.
- Recognizing what needs attention and acting without always needing to be asked.
What We're Looking For You should be reliable, punctual, organized and comfortable working at pace. You must be attentive to your surroundings, able to take direction and communicate clearly with customers and the team.
Candidates must be fluent in spoken English and available for lunch, dinner and weekend shifts.
Training and support will be provided in The Oxley's systems and standards. As you develop in the position, we expect you to confidently take ownership of your role.
Restaurant experience is an advantage, but attitude, awareness, reliability and willingness to learn are more important.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
