Position Overview The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient coordination of all incoming and outgoing shipments related to field operations. This role supports operational readiness by ensuring equipment, tools, and inventory are prepared, tracked, maintained, and organized to meet deployment schedules. The position also maintains yard organization, inventory integrity, and compliance with company safety standards.
Responsibilities
Shipping & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate and organize trucking and transportation providers for the shipment of equipment to and from field rigs.
- Prepare, load, and verify outgoing shipments to ensure equipment is complete, accurate, and deployment-ready.
- Coordinate after-hours pickups and loading requirements to support ongoing Remote Operations Centre (ROC) and field activities.
- Ensure all shipment documentation, inventory transfers, and movement records are completed accurately and maintained.
Equipment Readiness & Asset Management
- Work closely with RSS and MWD departments to ensure tools, kits, and equipment are inspected, organized, and ready for deployment.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming equipment, including collars, gap subs, RSS tools, and MWD kits using PRIME software.
- Organize and coordinate dirty tools and equipment for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection and servicing.
- Monitor active inventory levels and provide updates regarding availability, discrepancies, shortages, or damaged equipment.
- Maintain accurate tracking and accountability of RSS and ZIP assets.
Warehouse & Yard Operations
- Maintain an organized, clean,
and productive yard and warehouse environment.
- Manage and maintain the new inventory area, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper storage practices.
- Coordinate metal recycling activities and ensure proper organization and disposal within the yard.
- Support general warehouse, yard, and operational logistics as required.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain safe work practices while operating in warehouse and yard environments.
- Ensure equipment handling, storage, and transportation activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
Education, Experience, Technical Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or oilfield operations is preferred.
- Experience working with field equipment, tools, and inventory management systems is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking software and asset management systems is an asset.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Outlook, Excel, and Teams, for communication, scheduling, and record management.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate company software systems (e.g., PRIME).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other yard equipment is considered an asset; certification preferred.

Work Schedule
- Hours of Work: 7:00am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday
- Due to operational requirements and field support demands, overtime, extended hours, and occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required to support equipment movement, field operations, urgent shipments, and operational priorities.
Eligibility
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Preference given to candidates local to Calgary, as relocation is not included in the offer package
