Role Description The Shift Team Lead is a part-time, on-site position based in Newmarket, ON. This role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring accurate cash handling.

The Shift Team

Lead supports and guides team members on the sales floor, helps manage customer flow, and ensures that service standards and company policies are consistently met. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating break schedules, resolving customer concerns, and communicating shift performance updates to store management.



The role also involves assisting with training new team members and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and results-focused store culture.

Qualifications

- Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with skills in customer service, sales support, and basic cash handling.
- Robust leadership and team coordination abilities, including shift supervision, task delegation, and coaching of team members.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities, maintain store standards, and meet shift objectives.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and management in a clear and respectful manner.
- Ability to work on-site in Newmarket, ON, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and learning current retail technologies; previous experience with fashion or lifestyle brands is an asset.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining a secure, inclusive, and welcoming store environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in a supervisory or key holder role is considered an advantage
