Role Description The Server role at Woodlyns is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. Servers greet guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders, and deliver items promptly and accurately. They provide menu guidance, answer questions about ingredients and specials, and ensure guests’ dietary needs are communicated to the kitchen.

Daily responsibilities include setting up and breaking down dining areas, maintaining clean and organized tables and service stations, processing payments, and handling receipts.



Servers work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to coordinate orders, manage timing, and resolve issues to ensure a smooth service. They are expected to follow health and safety standards, maintain professional communication, and contribute to a positive, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

- Experience in food and beverage service, including taking orders, serving meals, and managing table sections.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create welcoming, attentive, and respectful guest interactions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Ability to handle cash and electronic payments accurately, and follow basic point-of-sale (POS) procedures.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices; willingness to follow all health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays or dishes safely, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset, reliability in attendance and punctuality, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous serving or hospitality experience is preferred; additional training or certifications in hospitality or food handling are an asset.
