Shipping and Receiving Clerk

General Duties

- Complete final inspection and release of products for shipping

- Managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies

- Determines method of shipment and prepares bills, invoices and other shipping documents

- Collaborates and communicates with manufacturing, customer service representatives, and others involved in the shipment and receiving of products.

- Tracks, traces, inspects and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.

- Maintains a clean, neat, secure environment

- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts receivables

- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately for warehouse

- Provides additional backup support for manufacturing department.

- Pulling, packing, and loading orders

- Contact carrier representative to obtain quotes as required, or to resolve discrepancies if they occur

- Receive and accept shipments as per SOPs, including verifying all amounts of incoming goods and their condition

- Order shipping supplies as needed





- Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping & receiving area

Qualifications

- High-school graduates welcome to apply

- Operation of a forklift is a benefit.

- Experience with perishable shipments and dangerous goods handling.

- Extensive knowledge of major couriers – UPS, FedEx, DHL.

- Working knowledge of ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

- Experience with preparing international shipments including customs documents.

- High attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00-$44,000.00 per year
