What You'll Do
- Communicate promptly with your service manager regarding any issues in the shop to ensure they are addressed effectively and professionally.
- Supervise and lead a team of automotive service technicians to ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Perform diagnostic assessments and repair vehicles as needed, determine if additional safety or service work is required through vehicle inspections
- Assign tasks and work priorities to team members based on their skill levels and abilities, ensuring timely completion of service orders.
- Ensure adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior technicians, fostering a positive work environment and promoting career development.
- Maintain accurate repair orders, documenting work completed, and ensure accurate reporting of vehicle status and issues.
- Oversee the maintenance of shop equipment and tools, ensuring that they are in proper working order.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- Automotive Technician Red Seal Certification
- Valid Driver's License MANDATORY
- 5+ years of experience in automotive service and repair, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across a wide range of vehicles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop less experienced technicians.
- Proficiency with shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and dealership policies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
