Snow Removal Equipment Operator — Skid Steer / Wheel Loader

$32/hour | 30 Paid Hours Guaranteed Every Week | Seasonal

Gateway maintains commercial properties, parking lots and yards throughout the winter. We’re looking for experienced equipment operators who work efficiently, look after their equipment and take pride in completing a site properly.

Landscaping, commercial property maintenance and snow-removal experience are strongly preferred.

Pay and guaranteed hours

- $32/hour.
- 30 paid hours guaranteed every week during the agreed winter term, subject to meeting agreed availability and attendance requirements.
- That means at least $960 gross every week, including periods with limited snowfall.
- All actual hours above 30 are paid.
- The same hourly rate applies to equipment operation and supporting duties.

Responsibilities
- Operate skid steers and/or wheel loaders to explicit commercial parking lots, yards and access areas.
- Follow site instructions, customer specifications and designated snow-storage locations.
- Stack snow efficiently and load trucks for snow hauling as required.
- Drive company trucks while hauling equipment.
- Safely reverse trailers and load, unload and secure equipment for transport.
- Work carefully around vehicles, curbs, buildings and other obstacles.
- Complete daily equipment inspections, greasing, refueling and basic upkeep.




- Communicate with the foreman and record completed work.
- Complete equipment maintenance and other assigned winter duties between snow events.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of skid steer or loader SNOW REMOVAL experience.
- Experience pulling and reversing equipment trailers.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Reliable transportation to work and a working smartphone.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned sites independently.
- Willingness and ability to perform the hands-on duties described above.

Schedule Work is weather-dependent and primarily takes place overnight, generally within the 5 p.m.–7 a.m. operating window. This is an availability window; individual shift lengths vary.

Applicants must be available for overnight work, weekends and snow-event callouts.
