We are seeking reliable and skilled Snow Plow Operators to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for clearing snow from driveways, parking lots and roadways experiencing winter weather conditions. This role requires an understanding of snow removal equipment- such as tractors, loaders and trucks- and appropriate techniques for safe and efficient snow removal.
Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently in challenging weather conditions and will be reliable throughout the entire winter season.
This position can lead to full time spring and summer employment with our maintenance and landscape crews.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor, loader, truck and other related equipment to clear snow and ice from driveways, parking lots, and occasionally roadways.
- Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing blades & blowers, and ensuring all machinery is in positive working order.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for additional snow removal tasks as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating machinery and performing maintenance tasks.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience operating snow plows or similar heavy machinery is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for performing routine maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to work long hours during winter storms and adapt to changing weather conditions is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for effective operation in varying environments.
