Job Overview

Happy Feet Physiotherapy is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist / Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing team at our Langley location.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about supporting children and families in a collaborative, welcoming clinical environment. New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Pediatric experience is not required, as mentorship and clinical support will be provided.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Happy Feet Physiotherapy, you will work primarily with children to assess and support communication, speech, language, social communication, and related developmental needs. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families while helping children improve their confidence and ability to communicate in everyday life.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify each child’s strengths, needs, and communication goals.
- Develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans based on assessment findings and family priorities.
- Provide engaging, child-centred therapy sessions addressing areas such as:
- Speech sound development and articulation
- Receptive and expressive language
- Early language development
- Social communication and pragmatic language
- Fluency
- Voice
- Literacy-related communication skills
- Augmentative and alternative communication, where appropriate
- Educate and coach parents and caregivers on strategies they can use to support communication development at home.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, physicians, and other healthcare or educational professionals when appropriate.




- Work collaboratively with other members of the Happy Feet Physiotherapy multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, assessment reports, treatment notes, and progress updates.
- Participate in mentorship, professional development, and team learning opportunities.
- Provide compassionate, family-centred care while creating a positive and encouraging therapy experience for children.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or an equivalent recognized program.
- Registered, or eligible for registration, to practise as a Speech-Language Pathologist in British Columbia.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Previous pediatric experience is not required — mentorship and clinical guidance will be provided.
- Strong interest in working with children and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- A patient, engaging, and supportive approach to working with children and families.
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice and ongoing professional development.
