JOB DETAILS:

We are currently accepting resumes for Sprinkler Fitter journeypersons for work in the Ft McMurray Oilsands Region, within the Alberta region and Edmonton area. Consideration will be given to 4th yr Apprentices followed by 3rd yrs.

Wage

Journeyperson - $50.55/HR (Total Package $69.92), with wage increase to come over the next year.

REPONSIBILITIES:

- Read & interpret blueprints, evaluate plans diagrams, specifications, schematics, and manufactures manuals.
- Install wet and dry sprinkler systems as per the NFPA and Building Code.
- Install fire sprinkler systems for Industrial and commercial applications.
- Blazemaster experience and certification are an asset.
- A drug and alcohol test may be required pending client requests for pre-access on some projects.
- Execute work safely and promote safe work behaviours with peers.
- Travelling to/from various job site locations.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

- 5+ years of experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems
- Familiarity with applicable NFPA Codes
- Ability to read & understand blueprints
- Excellent organization and time management
- Ability to complete documentation with detail & accuracy




- Knowledge of hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy loads (50lbs)
- For the Oilsands Opportunity, ESC Fall Protection, ESC MEWP, H2S and First Aid are required and will be provided by the employer once staffing is confirmed.
- Valid driver’s license.

SCHEDULE:

- Applicant must be flexible to a multitude of shift types and hours worked
- Overtime as needed

Pay: $39.63-$56.62 per hour
