Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join our development team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and modern front-end technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and other development teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java and modern web technologies.
- Develop backend services and microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party systems.
- Develop responsive and reusable UI components using Angular or React.
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Implement application security, authentication, authorization, and secure API integrations.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
- Develop unit, integration, and automated tests using JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
- Work with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming technologies.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI,



or Azure DevOps.
- Deploy and support applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams during sprint planning, refinement, development, testing, and releases.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Skills
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE.
- Hands-on experience with Java 17 or higher.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Extensive experience developing REST APIs.
- Strong front-end development experience with Angular or React.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
- Experience with Kafka or messaging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Git and CI/CD.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with JUnit and Mockito.
- Excellent understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
