Overview

Babco Meats is excited to announce we are opening a location in Lumsden, SK. The target opening date is mid October. We would like to hire our manager and have them start by the end of September or sooner to begin training and get familiar with the company and our team.

Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service excellence
- Lead, motivate, and supervise staff in food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling activities to ensure smooth daily operations
- Manage cash handling procedures and operate POS system (Clover)
- Help with the hiring process of other staff members. Lead in the training of new staff members
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations through regular inspections and training
- Foster a positive customer experience by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues effectively
- Bring new ideas and a positive attitude to work every day
- Make the staff schedule every month
- Keep accurate inventory counts each week of product




- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Experience

- Experience in managing staff.
- Knowledge of the food industry such as procedures and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with Beef, Pork, Chicken, and many other food products
- Experience keeping track of inventory
- Experience in ordering inventory
- Knowledge and experience working with different computer programs (Excel, Word, Oulook, Etc)
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail in food handling and safety procedures
- Living in Lumsden in not necessary but living close to the area is a plus
