Structural Design Engineer (Steel) :

Our company is currently looking for an experienced Structural Steel Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continued development and growth of the company. The Structural Design Engineer will oversee shop and installation drawings in Advance Steel w/ AutoCAD and Tekla for Structural Steel applications. The engineer will also be required to make site visits when necessary to confirm details.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

- Design steel frameworks for buildings, and infrastructure.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure stability and safety.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate structural requirements.
- Use advanced modeling software (e.g., Tekla, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD).
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Oversee fabrication and construction operations, including quality control.
- Evaluate existing steel structures for safety, code compliance,



and retrofit needs.

Required Skills

- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in steel design principles, welding, bolted connections, and corrosion protection.
- Ability to interpret and produce shop drawings and structural details.
- Leadership and project management capabilities for guiding teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- Experience with structural codes (e.g., ASCE 7, IBC) and steel design standards.

Pay will be based on experience Benefits: after 3 months’ probation

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Location: Brampton, ON

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
