Title: Damage Tolerance Analysis (DTA) Engineer
Location: Quebec, Canada

About the Role:
We are seeking a Damage Tolerance Analysis (DTA) Engineer to support Repair Engineering activities for aircraft structures.
In this role, you will perform structural integrity assessments of aircraft damage and repair solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable safety, airworthiness, and regulatory requirements. The position is well suited for an engineer with strong expertise in structural analysis, fatigue and fracture mechanics, and aerospace engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze Airbus-provided damage details and proposed repair solutions.
- Identify and map aircraft structural damage using structural drawings.
- Perform crack growth and damage tolerance assessments and evaluate potential crack propagation scenarios.
- Assess the structural impact of damage and repairs on Structural Significant Items (SSIs) and Principal Structural Elements (PSEs).
- Calculate section properties at damage locations to support structural assessments.
- Perform residual strength analyses to demonstrate compliance with airworthiness requirements.
- Conduct crack propagation analyses using appropriate engineering tools.
- Establish inspection thresholds, repeat intervals, and inspection methods to support continued structural integrity.
- Communicate technical findings and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of fatigue and fracture mechanics.
- Experience with Damage Tolerance Analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with Airbus structural analysis processes.
- Hands-on experience with structural analysis and engineering tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification requirements applicable to structural repairs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Airbus aircraft structures.
- Previous experience in aircraft repair and maintenance engineering.
- Proficiency with additional structural analysis tools.
