About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and technology-driven Technical Lead to join our team and support a strategic digital modernization initiative within a leading financial institution. This role offers an opportunity to lead end-to-end technical delivery across enterprise-scale digital platforms, working closely with software engineers, technical leads, architects, and delivery teams.

The Technical Lead will play a critical role in ensuring complex technology initiatives are delivered with high quality, reliability, and alignment to enterprise standards. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with no direct people management responsibilities , focused on technical delivery, cross-platform coordination, solution assessment, and stakeholder communication.

Candidate Requirements / Must-Have Experience:

- Candidates must have strong experience leading large-scale enterprise software delivery initiatives with significant technical depth.
- Candidates should have a strong software development background with hands-on experience writing, reviewing, and assessing code.
- Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple development teams, platforms, and technology domains is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of API platforms, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, enterprise integration, or distributed systems is essential.
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies in enterprise environments is highly valuable.
- Strong understanding of API management, event streaming, distributed data platforms, and modern software architectures is preferred.
- Candidates must have experience evaluating technical designs and implementation approaches and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and technology standards.
- Proven ability to identify and manage technical risks, delivery gaps, dependencies, and cross-platform issues is required.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, system integration testing, release management, and production deployment practices is essential.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are necessary, with the ability to provide clear updates to technical teams, project stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end technical delivery of enterprise platform changes supporting business and technology initiatives.




- Develop and manage integrated delivery plans across multiple platform and engineering teams.
- Coordinate execution across development, testing, release management, and production deployment activities.
- Partner closely with developers and technical leads to guide implementation and ensure high-quality technical delivery.
- Review and assess technical designs, architecture decisions, and implementation approaches across multiple platforms.
- Proactively identify technical risks, gaps, dependencies, and delivery challenges, and work with teams to resolve them.
- Lead technical triage and coordinate the resolution of cross-platform technical issues.
- Ensure delivery readiness throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle, including system integration testing and production deployment.
- Provide technical leadership and coordination across developers and technical leads for assigned initiatives.
- Act as a central point of accountability for technical delivery outcomes while partnering with platform leads, project managers, architects, and release teams.
- Provide clear and concise updates on delivery progress, technical risks, dependencies, and key issues to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of technical delivery practices, integration approaches, and overall platform delivery effectiveness.
- Help ensure solutions are delivered with appropriate levels of quality, reliability, scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.

How The Role Operates:

- Works closely with multiple enterprise technology and platform teams within a centralized delivery model.
- Provides technical leadership and coordination across developers and technical leads for assigned initiatives.
- Acts as a central point of accountability for technical delivery outcomes while partnering with platform leads, project managers, architects, and release teams.
- Maintains regular visibility with senior leadership, ensuring alignment on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and priorities.




- Balances hands-on technical leadership with delivery coordination to ensure successful end-to-end execution.
- Operates across multiple technology platforms and teams, ensuring dependencies and integration points are effectively managed.
- Influences technical decisions and delivery outcomes without direct people management responsibilities.

Required:
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale enterprise software delivery initiatives with strong technical depth.
- Strong software development background with hands-on experience writing and reviewing code .
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple teams and technology platforms.
- Strong technical foundation in API platforms, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, enterprise integration, or distributed systems .
- Ability to evaluate and guide technical solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and delivery objectives.
- Experience identifying and managing delivery risks across complex, multi-system initiatives.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, system integration testing, release management, and production deployment practices .
- Strong experience working with cross-functional technical teams and managing complex technical dependencies.
- Excellent communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as API management, Kafka/event streaming, IAM, or cloud-native services .
- Hands-on experience with AWS and modern cloud architectures.
- Experience with Java, SQL, NoSQL, and distributed systems .
- Experience working with enterprise API platforms such as IBM API Connect .
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments .
- Experience coordinating technical delivery across multiple platform teams.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Location : Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite in GTA, ON Contract Duration: 6 to 12 months contract + FTE conversion (Contract-to-Hire role)
