School requires a temporary part time (0.7 FTE) Educational Assistant to work with children and provide support in an inclusive setting. This position will be three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
Desired Qualifications Include The Following
- Experience working with students in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings
- Experience working with children ages 3-5 in a play-based, Early Learning environment
- Educational Assistant certification would be an asset
- A demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Experience and/or training in working with children with diverse learning and behavioural needs
- Experience in working collaboratively within a team or with a Learning Support Team
- SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) training would be an asset.
