Overview

Gagnon Vibra Feed Inc is growing, and is seeking someone for the position of Vibratory Bowl Tooler. Experience and skills pertaining to metal fabrication and TIG welding are required as a baseline in the training process.

While we are looking for someone with a more general metalwork skillset, we are equally looking for someone who has an imagination and can picture an end product mentally, as the design process leaves much to be determined by the bowl builder during construction.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

-Performing exact TIG welding on 11ga and 12ga 304 Stainless steel

-Tracing patterns & cutting & hand forming stainless pieces as required

-Use of Pneumatic tools to cut, deburr & polish stainless steel

-Use of vertical & horizontal bandsaws to cut material

-Use of rollers to roll and shape material

Duties

- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to join stainless metal components with precision according to patterns and bowl layouts
- No welding tickets required
- Cut and shape/form stainless components to meet the patterns & angles required
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment such as plasma cutter, grinder, various sized belt sanders, pneumatic cut-off wheels for fabrication and adjustments
- Conduct quality inspections using basic math, visual skills and measuring tools to verify dimensions,



weld integrity as well as flow of parts on bowl tooling itself
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work station

Qualifications

- Proven experience with primarily TIG welding in a manufacturing & fabrication setting
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools/ shop machinery such as Drill press, Manual milling machine, plasma cutters, and hand tools effectively
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading, drafting, assembly processes, and Solidworks design is an asset but not required
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
- Ability to visulaize, imagine and interpret designs and ideas a strong asset
- Experience with vibratory bowl feeders or similar automated feeding systems is a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes enhances your suitability for this role
- Mig welding experience an asset but not required

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
