TIRE TECHNICIAN

At Powerline Plus Ltd., we focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerlines Plus Ltd. provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.

Tire Technicians at Powerline Plus Ltd. are responsible for installing and repairing tires for the various types of vehicles/equipment in our fleet. Tire Technicians participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with mechanics, apprentices, the Shop Foreman, and various Departmental Managers.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

- Completion of Secondary School
- Must have commercial vehicle wheel certification
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the trade
- Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract; Class DZ or better considered an asset
- Physically capable of meeting the job requirements; ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and safely climb a ladder.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES





- Tire maintenance; cleaning tires/wheels
- Inspecting tires for signs of wear and areas for potential failure
- Check pressures and tread depths
- Tire rotations along with regular maintenance
- Replacement of tires to ensure protected vehicle operation
- Perform tire repairs as required
- Properly maintain and service vehicles/equipment
