Responsibilities
- Operate tower cranes safely and efficiently to lift and move materials across the construction site
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the crane, including checking mechanical systems, rigging, and safety devices
- Coordinate with ground crew and other construction personnel using clear communication to execute lifts accurately
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper rigging techniques and load calculations, to prevent accidents
- Maintain detailed logs of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Assist with rigging setup and disassembly as needed, ensuring all equipment is secure and compliant with safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members in multiple languages if necessary to ensure seamless operations
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of crane operations and rigging procedures
- Valid certification for tower crane operation, with additional certifications such as forklift or boom truck preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform routine maintenance checks
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities that facilitate clear coordination on-site
- Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts or boom trucks when required
- Robust understanding of safety regulations related to crane operation and construction sites
- Customer service mindset to collaborate effectively with team members and contractors in a fast-paced environment
