Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, transport vehicles, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties

- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications using various hand tools and power tools to restore equipment functionality.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, or forklifts for maintenance or repair purposes when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of industrial equipment and components during repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards while promoting a safe working environment.





Skills

- Proven experience in dealership or industrial equipment repair with a strong background in automotive repair and heavy machinery maintenance.
- Proficiency with schematics, electrical systems, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, HVAC systems (heating, ventilation & air conditioning), and farm machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills for interacting with team members or clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
