Omega Food Importers is a recognized industry leader specializing in importing European foods to Canada.

We are currently looking for a full time Warehouse Assistant Manager.

This role will be based out of our Mississauga location, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and supporting a warehouse team of approximately 25 employees while helping oversee daily warehouse operations.

The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Supervising staff and managing the team
- Setting employee work hours
- Planning driver routes and order logistics
- Monitoring product expiration dates
- Scheduling companies for container unloading
- Receiving goods/containers; verifying container contents against manifests
- Sorting goods and stocking shelves
- Preparing ordered goods for shipment to customers
- Packing orders according to retail chain guidelines (Loblaw, Sobeys, Walmart, etc.)
- Generating barcodes and printing product labels
- Managing CHEP pallets
- Liaising with maintenance contractors for warehouse repairs
- Communicating with sales representatives

Skills and Experience Required:





- Proficiency in English language (full proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking required)
- Proficiency in Polish language is an asset
- Warehouse work experience in assistant or supervisory role required
- Experience working with food products preferred but not required

Working hours:

- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Occasional work until 6:00 PM on weekdays
- Occasional Saturdays (during peak season)
