Are you an energetic, organized person with excellent time management skills and experience in shipping and receiving? Altruck International Truck Centres is currently seeking a Warehouse Helper for our Guelph Branch. (405 Laird Road, Guelph ON)

Hours of this position will be Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5:00 pm.

Summary:

This Warehouse Helper is responsible for the proper control of customer orders and stocking functions, stock orders and assist with related accounting functions. The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the loading and unloading of shipments, verification of their accuracy, and warehousing functions.

What you’ll do:

- Receive orders from vendors
- Pick orders (pack & slip_
- Pick returns to vendors
- Answer phones and direct calls
- Cleaning of the stockroom and warehouse
- Read, understand, and adhere to all rules, regulations and procedures as required by Altruck International Truck Centres.
- Obey all laws at all times, including the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
- Ensure that all work performed is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely fashion.
- Work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the all departments.
- Complete physical inventory counts as required.
- May be required to post receipts into the computer.
- May be required to unpack incoming shipments, verify the accuracy, and check the condition of the parts. (binning)
- Assist Parts Counter Representatives as required.
- Assist with service shop tasks and general cleanup.
- Maintain the cleanliness of delivery vehicle interior, exterior and cargo area.
- Keep the delivery area neat and clean, including exterior storage.
- Deliver parts and equipment in a timely,



safe fashion and will complete manual receipts for customers returning parts as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Check all inter-branch orders daily and follow up if necessary

What we are looking for:

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid G class Driver's License and a clean driving abstract required.
- Mechanical skills to maintain vehicles and solve minor problems is helpful.
- Understanding of geographical locations and able to read a map.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Can pace driving and schedule pickups in a timely fashion.
- Able to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Good communication skills and valuable understanding of safety precautions.
- Ability to read and comprehends instructions and information.
- Has a neat appearance, good judgment, and mature attitude.
- Able to work independently in a busy environment.

Working Conditions This is a physically demanding position. The Shipper/Receiver may be required to lift heavy items from time to time, and will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. They must request assistance for any parts/objects over 50 lbs. They will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
