Water Treatment Plant and Distribution System:
- Perform checks of operating wells and distribution system to inspect process control equipment to ensure proper operation of pumps and chemical feeders as directed by OCWA.
- Perform collection and recording of daily operational data in accordance with operational requirements and in compliance with the system Certificate of Approval as well as legislated requirements and keep records on a daily basis and record water flow and chemicals used.
- Perform all distribution system maintenance including locates, water main repairs, flushing, valve exercising, etc.
- Provide first response to callouts to general alarms
Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System:

- Perform all collection system maintenance including locates, sewer main repairs, flushing, and valve exercising, etc.
- Provide first response to callouts to general alarms
Operate heavy Equipment:
- Operate gasoline or diesel equipment such as sweepers, graders, loaders, aerial trucks,
and backhoes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine checks on vehicles and equipment prior to use.
- Perform minor routine equipment maintenance as assigned.
Maintain streets, catch basins, and other public works:
- Perform tasks such as plowing, and hauling snow from roadways.
- Perform tasks such as sanding and salting slippery roadways.
- Perform tasks such as constructing, grading, and patching roadways.
- Perform tasks such as wetting, sweeping, and cleaning roadways.
- Maintain ditches and natural water courses.
- Perform tasks such as loading, hauling, and stockpiling sand, gravel, brush, and other materials.
Perform related duties:
- Maintain a safe work area by setting up appropriate barricades, warning devices, and proper vehicle and equipment placement.
- Maintain records of work performed, as required.
- Perform tasks using hand tools, as required.
Job Type: Full time Pay: $29.73-$33.22 per hour
