Main Responsibilities:

- Obtains work assignments from Web Lead
- Read and understand production dockets
- Remove product from stacker and pile neatly on skid
- Strap product as needed, pile neatly on skids
- Transport skids to staging areas using forklift or pallet jack equipment
- Pull and inspect all running samples
- Inspect products for quality (smearing, register, bad folds, etc.)
- Verifies bundle and skid counts
- Assists in bending and hanging plates
- Assists Pressmen with roll changes, washing blankets and pulling ink
- Maintain a supply of press solutions and rags in the work area
- Assists with general maintenance
- Effective and productive use of all materials and equipment assigned for use
- Accurately enters daily time and job data into PC based manufacturing/costing system, ensuring integrity of time and data.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Web Supervisor/MIC
- Assists in Bindery or Shipping as needed if no work available in Web department
- Inform the Web Lead of (a) machine malfunction which could impact delivery of product (b) concerns regarding job assignments (c) problems with procedure on a job (d) requests for materials and supplies




- Actively participates in Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives
- Keeps area clean and organized, responsible for 5S in own work area
- Shift work required, overtime as necessary
- Comply with all Manitoba Health & Safety rules and regulations

Qualifications:

- Some high school
- Previous experience an asset
- Ability to lift up to 23 Kg on a continual basis
- Ability to follow instruction
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Manitoba Health & Safety regulations

Hours of Work: Shift assignments rotate based on operational requirements and may include days, evenings, and occasional weekends. Applicable evening and weekend shift premiums are paid in addition to the base hourly wage. Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
