Build One-of-a-Kind Projects That Support Canada's Critical Industries For the past 20 years, Kodiak Global has designed, manufactured, inspected, and maintained specialized equipment for the explosives, mining, military, and oil & gas industries. Our customers include mining companies, government agencies, the Canadian Armed Forces, research centres, avalanche control organizations, oilfield service companies, and some of the world's largest explosives distributors.

One day, you're fabricating a ballistic door for a military project. The next, you're building a custom explosives magazine for a mine in northern Canada or fabricating specialized oilfield equipment. Every project is different, giving you the chance to work on a wide variety of challenging fabrications.

The Role

You'll primarily work in our shop building custom products for customers across Canada, with field installation opportunities available if you're interested.

Your work will include

- MIG and SMAW welding
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
- Fabricating and assembling steel components
- Operating fabrication equipment, including plasma cutters, press brakes, overhead cranes, forklifts, and various hand and power tools




- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets our quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and protected work area

What you'll work with:

- Heavy custom fabrication
- Very little production welding
- Mostly mild steel, with occasional aluminum and rare stainless steel
- Material thicknesses from 1/16" to 2"
- Regular daytime hours with overtime available during busy periods

Assets (not required):

- CWB certification
- Red Seal certification
- Apprentices currently working toward certification
