We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret schematics. As a Welder/Fitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding components to create high-quality products. Your expertise in using various hand tools, cranes, and forklifts will be essential in ensuring efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Operate cranes and forklifts for material handling as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring tools.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques and equipment.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience operating cranes and forklifts is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
