Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welder role based in Calgary, AB. The Welder will perform daily welding tasks on steel and alloy components, including setup, operation, and maintenance of welding equipment in a foundry environment.

Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, preparing and fitting materials, executing welds according to specifications, and inspecting finished work for quality and safety compliance. The role also involves collaborating with production and maintenance teams,



following all health and safety procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement in fabrication processes. Regular shop duties will also be included if no welding jobs are available.

Qualifications

- Strong welding skills, including Welding and Arc Welding, with the ability to produce consistent, structurally sound welds.
- Proficiency in TIG Welding and MIG Welding for a variety of steel and alloy applications.
- Knowledge of Materials, particularly manganese wear parts and high chrome white iron, and how material properties affect welding methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work orders.
- Experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments, preferably in mining, aggregates, or steel fabrication.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including use of PPE and adherence to occupational health and safety standards.
- Certification or formal training in welding (e.g., journeyperson ticket or equivalent) is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
