Rafat General Contractor Inc. is looking for an experienced Welder / Torch & Weld Worker to join our construction team.

The successful candidate must have experience performing field welding, torch cutting, and welding of piles and shoring systems on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

- Perform welding and torch cutting on construction sites
- Weld steel piles, shoring systems, braces, plates, beams, and structural steel components
- Cut and modify steel using oxy-fuel torches and other cutting equipment
- Assist with installation and repair of pile and shoring systems
- Perform welds in field conditions and difficult positions as required
- Read measurements, drawings, and site instructions
- Inspect welds and completed work for quality
- Maintain welding machines, torches, hoses, regulators, and related equipment
- Work safely around heavy equipment, excavations, cranes, and active construction operations
- Follow company Health & Safety policies and site-specific safety requirements
- Assist other members of the construction crew when required

Qualifications
- Previous construction-site welding experience required




- Experience welding piles and/or shoring systems strongly preferred
- Strong experience with torch cutting and welding
- Ability to weld heavy structural steel
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to work around excavations, heavy equipment, and active construction sites
- Physically capable of performing demanding construction work
- Good understanding of workplace and construction safety
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred
- Welding tickets/certifications are an asset

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in the field. This is not primarily a shop welding position. Most work will involve welding and torch work directly on construction projects.

Job Type: Full time

Work Location: Construction sites throughout the GTA and surrounding areas

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend work as required
