Join a dynamic and collaborative environmental team dedicated to delivering innovative, science-based solutions across infrastructure, mining, oil & gas, and environmental projects. Based in Calgary, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of wildlife-focused initiatives, including field assessments, monitoring programs, habitat evaluations, mitigation planning, and regulatory permitting. Working alongside multidisciplinary specialists, you will contribute to environmental assessments and help clients navigate provincial and federal regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of wildlife biology, ecological principles, and environmental legislation, along with a willingness to expand their knowledge of environmental assessments, regulatory processes, and emerging best practices within the environmental consulting industry.

Make a Difference

- Conduct and support wildlife studies, habitat assessments, monitoring programs, and mitigation planning for infrastructure, mining, and environmental projects.
- Lead and contribute to environmental assessments, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Prepare and review technical reports, regulatory applications, environmental assessments,



and permitting documentation to support project development and compliance.
- Provide technical expertise related to wildlife management, habitat conservation, ecological risk assessment, and environmental best practices.
- Navigate and interpret municipal, provincial, and federal regulatory requirements, ensuring projects comply with applicable environmental legislation, policies, permits, and approvals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions and support project planning, execution, and regulatory approvals.
- Conduct field investigations, data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform environmental planning, impact assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Support clients by providing practical, science-based recommendations related to wildlife, environmental
- Lead and champion a culture of excellence, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of health, safety, and quality across all areas of operation.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, while fostering continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory and external client requirements.

Showcase your Education & Expertise Please include the following bullet points:

- Undergraduate degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Professional designation (e.g., R.P.Biol., P.Biol., or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes,



and environmental assessment frameworks across Western and Northern Canada.
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to technical excellence, including proposal development, technical reviews, and report writing.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically to support projects and client needs.
- strong team player who enjoys collaborating across disciplines and sharing knowledge.
