CGI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Legal Student to support our Contracts Management team. This role provides hands-on experience in contract lifecycle management, risk identification, and process improvement within a global technology and consulting environment. The successful candidate will work closely with legal and business stakeholders and contribute to meaningful, business-impacting initiatives.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) at a minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time.

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications.

Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.

Your future duties and responsibilities The Summer Legal Student will be assigned ownership of two primary projects:

- Contracts Inventory, Clean-Up, and Organization Conduct a comprehensive inventory of existing contracts across a large and currently non-standardized repository. Review, categorize, and organize agreements to improve accessibility, consistency, and data integrity. Develop and recommend standardized naming conventions, filing structures,



and metadata tagging to support ongoing contract management. Identify gaps, duplicates, or outdated agreements and recommend remediation steps.
- Key Terms and Obligations Tracking Framework Assist in designing and implementing a framework to identify and track critical contract terms and conditions. Flag annual, renewal, and time-sensitive risks and obligations (e.g., notice periods, pricing changes, compliance requirements). Support the development of a process and tools to alert contract owners and users of upcoming obligations and risk triggers. Contribute to standard templates and guidance to embed risk visibility in future contracting.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

- Enrolled in a JD or LLB program and returning to school following the summer term.
- Solid organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Interest in commercial law, contracts, and risk management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with contract management tools is an asset.
