Vegreville Ford is looking for an Internet Sales Specialist to join our sales team.

Let's get something out of the way first: this is a sales position.

You'll be selling vehicles, working deals, following up with customers and earning commission. The difference is that a large part of your business will start online, over the phone, through text, social media and through leads generated by the dealership.

We're looking for someone who knows how to communicate, isn't afraid to pick up the phone, and understands that successful salespeople don't sit around waiting for customers to walk through the door.

The Job:

You'll work internet leads from first contact all the way through to the sale.

That means answering inquiries quickly, making phone calls, texting customers, sending videos, following up, booking appointments, presenting vehicles, working with our management and finance teams, and ultimately selling and delivering vehicles.

Some customers will be local. Others might be an hour away, three hours away or in another province.

Your job is to give them a reason to buy from us.

Who We're Looking For:

We're not necessarily looking for someone with automotive experience.

We're looking for someone with drive, personality and some common sense. You need to be a excellent communicator, but even a BETTER listener.

You should be:

- Comfortable talking to complete strangers
- Confident on the phone
- Good at communicating through text and email
- Comfortable using social media
- Competitive and motivated by earning more
- Organized enough to manage a large number of leads and follow ups
- Willing to ask for the sale
- Reliable and accountable
- Coachable





If you need someone standing over your shoulder telling you who to call and when to follow up, this probably isn't the job for you either.

What You Don't Need:

You don't need to be a "car person."

You don't need years of dealership experience.

You don't need to know every feature on every vehicle before you start.

We'll teach you the product and the automotive business.

What is much harder to teach is work ethic, confidence and the ability to connect with people.

The Prospect:

This is a commission based position with expected annual earnings of approximately $60,000–$120,000, depending on performance. There is no ceiling on earning potential.

But we provide the inventory, leads, advertising, systems, training and support to give the right person an opportunity to build a very good book of business. Vegreville Ford sells vehicles to customers throughout Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan, and a significant amount of our business starts online.

You'll also be working alongside a sales team with decades of experience in the automotive business.

Who Should Apply:
