Let’s be honest: plants are great, but they’re not very positive at organizing themselves. That’s where you come in.
At Jeff’s Outdoors, we’re not just mowing lawns; we’re crafting landscapes that make the neighbors jealous. Our company is growing faster than mint in a garden bed, and we need a passionate, seasoned Horticultural Technician to take the wheel and steer our gardening division toward greatness.
The "Root" of the Role
This isn’t just a "dig a hole, drop a plant" kind of job. We’re looking for a visionary. As the Lead role of our growing horticultural division, you will:
- Steer the Ship: Lead, manage, and grow a dedicated team of plant enthusiasts.
- Be the Expert: Use your substantial experience to design planting schemes, diagnose "sad plant syndrome," and ensure every garden we touch thrives.
- Master the Dirt: Oversee soil health, pest management, and specialized pruning (you know, the technical stuff that makes people go "wow").
- Build the Future: Help us develop new services and processes as we expand.
Is This You?
- You’re a Plant Nerd (and proud of it): You know your Picea from your Spiraea and your Latin names and descriptions are on point.
- You’ve Got the Milage: You’ve spent substantial time in the landscape field. You’ve seen it all—from unexpected frosts to stubborn pests—and you know how to handle it.
- You’re a Leader:
You enjoy mentoring others and aren't afraid to take charge of a project from concept to completion.
- You’re Passionate: You don't just work with plants because it’s a job; you do it because you genuinely love seeing things grow.
Why Join Jeff’s Outdoors?
- A Growing Family: We’re a team that actually likes each other, 30 players strong at this time. We work hard, but we keep it light.
- Ownership: You won't just be a cog in a machine; you’ll be the architect planting the seeds in developing a division.
- The Great Outdoors: Your office has the best ventilation and views in the world.
- No Gnomes (Unless you want them): We focus on high-quality, professional horticulture.
