Our client is a well-established commercial real estate organization seeking a CPA for an Assistant Controller role reporting to the Controller.
Location
Vaughan - 5 days onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review property accounting activities
- Review CAM, realty tax, tenant recoveries and billings
- Review monthly reconciliations, HST filings and financial reporting
- Support year-end audits and review working papers
- Oversee MPAC submissions and tax recoveries
- Lead, coach and develop the property accounting team
- Drive process improvements, automation and system efficiencies
- Partner with Property Management and resolve complex accounting issues
Ideal Background
CPA from public accounting, ideally Senior/Manager level, with commercial real estate exposure; or CPA with strong property accounting, ASPE Experience with CAM,
recoveries, realty tax and tenant accounting Robust leadership and stakeholder management skills
