Support community initiatives as a Prevention Program Officer delivering programs like SNAP in Chisasibi. This permanent, full-time role focuses on adapting prevention strategies for schools and engaging local stakeholders.
In this position, you'll craft and implement various prevention programs tailored to community needs. Collaborating with key partners, you will design activities, present programs in schools, and reach out to families for at-risk youth support. Your efforts will enhance public safety through proactive engagement and tailored activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and adapt prevention programs for targeted demographics • Organize and deliver program activities in schools • Prepare and present session materials to participants • Identify high-risk children and engage relevant stakeholders • Liaise with community organizations to promote programs
Requirements: • College diploma in Social Work or related field • 3-5 years of relevant experience with at-risk youth • Fluency in verbal Cree and English • Robust organizational and communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
