Algonquin Outfitters is actively seeking Part-Time Sales Associates to join our team at our Huntsville location for fall and winter. This role is a excellent fit for high school students looking to gain experience while working around their school schedule. As one of our Sales Associates, you are not just selling the products we stock – you are helping people get outside and lead active and adventurous lifestyles.
Here are a few things you will do in this job:
- Sales – welcome customers, answer phones, assist on the sales floor and learn cash/POS duties.
- Rentals – assist customers with rental questions and directions as needed.
- Merchandising and Inventory – receive shipments, stock products and help keep our spaces organized.
- Customer Service – create an awesome experience and deliver friendly, helpful service.
- Fun – help us maintain the positive,
inclusive team environment we want everyone at AO to enjoy!
What will you bring to us?
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a dependable approach to work.
- Friendly and approachable communication skills and comfort interacting with customers.
- The ability to work well with a team, take direction and stay organized in a busy environment.
- An interest in the outdoors, apparel, footwear or gear is helpful, but you do not need to be an expert.
- Previous retail or POS experience is helpful, but not required.
Our biggest need is for team members who can work weekends and holidays throughout the fall and winter. We understand school comes first, so this role is designed for students who can commit to a reliable part-time schedule around classes and school activities. We are looking for people who are comfortable staying busy, helping wherever needed and following through on the tasks they are given.
