As an Intermediate Field Technician on the Surface Water team, you'll engage in hands-on environmental projects that matter. You'll be involved in surface water monitoring, equipment installation, and field surveying, with approximately 75-85% of your time spent in the field. This position requires a commitment to safety, travel to remote sites, and flexibility during peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead protected field programs and develop health and safety plans • Conduct flow measurements and topographic surveys for water resource decision-making • Coordinate field materials and travel logistics for remote programs • Maintain detailed field notes and monitoring records for environmental data • Contribute to field-data compilation and analysis for deeper insights
Requirements: • Diploma or degree in environmental science or related field • Experience in stream monitoring and field survey methods • Valid Class G driver's license with clean abstract • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and data compilation • Ability to work in varied conditions; certifications are assets
