WE’RE HIRING:

LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Permanent | Full time | In-Person OLEX LEGAL is seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive

Legal Administrative Assistant

to join our Calgary office.

Our practice includes

Real Estate,

Family Law,

Wills & Estates, and Business & Corporate Law.

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT; Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of recent experience working as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Assistant, or in a comparable legal support position within a law firm or legal environment.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants without the required legal experience may not be considered.

What You’ll Do

Open, organize, maintain, and close client files

Manage calendars, appointments, court dates, deadlines, and follow-ups

Draft, format, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence and documents

Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, lenders, realtors, financial institutions, and other third parties

Assist with family law, real estate, wills and estates, and corporate matters

Assist with residential purchases, sales, refinances, and mortgage transactions

Coordinate client appointments and document signing

Prepare client and lender reporting packages

Monitor outstanding documents, undertakings, deadlines, and follow-ups

Manage incoming and outgoing emails and correspondence

Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems

Assist with billing, file administration, and day-to-day office operations

Provide administrative support to the lawyer and other members of the OLEX LEGAL team

What We’re Looking For Required:

Minimum





2 years of legal administrative/legal assistant experience

Strong legal drafting, proofreading, and document-formatting skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to independently prioritize multiple files and deadlines

Strong computer and document-management skills

Professionalism, discretion, reliability, and sound judgment

Ability to work efficiently in a busy, deadline-driven legal practice

Preferred/Assets:

Legal Assistant or Legal Administrative Assistant diploma

Alberta law firm experience

Experience in

Family Law and/or Real Estate Law

Experience with Wills & Estates or Corporate/Business Law

Experience with

CosmoLex, Prolegis, Unity, Resolve, or similar legal software
