Calmo is a new neighbourhood bakery café and wine bar opening near Dundas West / Ossington.

We’re building a warm, thoughtful space focused on in-house baked goods, simple food, valuable coffee, wine, and genuine hospitality.

We’re currently hiring Part-Time Line Cooks to join our opening team.

Calmo has a small, streamlined kitchen focused on simple, well-executed food. We’re looking for people who work cleanly and efficiently, are reliable, and are comfortable managing their station while working alongside our kitchen lead.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare and cook menu items during service
- Complete daily prep and mise en place
- Plate dishes consistently according to Calmo’s standards
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Restock ingredients and supplies throughout service
- Support kitchen opening and closing duties
- Assist with dishes and general kitchen cleaning when needed
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen lead and front-of-house team
- Work efficiently and stay organized during busy service

Who You Are





- 1–2+ years of line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a small kitchen
- Able to manage your station independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Clean, organized, and efficient
- Able to follow recipes and plating standards consistently
- Calm and focused during service
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Food Handler Certification is an asset.

Schedule

Approximately 14–20 hours per week , depending on availability.

Schedules may rotate between team members.

Some flexibility to cover additional shifts when another team member is unavailable is.

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
