About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Asset Liability Management Production. The successful candidate will be part of a team that integrates the management of assets and insurance liabilities to ensure the company's balance sheet is invested and managed in a way that meets various financial and risk objectives. This role is pivotal in producing accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to support decision-making, and in maintaining the company's resilience across market cycles. The AVP will be responsible for overseeing the production, validation, and delivery of ALM analytics and reporting, as well as for measuring, monitoring, and managing ALM risks. Leadership is a key aspect of the position,
as the AVP will lead a team and partner closely with senior leaders in investment, finance, risk, and actuarial teams.
Candidates for this role should be a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, with a CFA or other investment designations being an asset. A minimum of 10 years' experience in the insurance, investments, or financial industry is required, along with a proven track record of exceptional stakeholder leadership, influencing skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly. The role demands a continuous improvement and innovation mindset, robust business acumen, and the ability to balance technical rigor with practical business considerations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated people leadership, including the development of technical talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
