Position Overview The
Lead Bartender
leads bar operations,beverage development, inventory control, service standards, and bartendercoaching for Prairie Rose Kitchen. This position will create a distinctivebeverage program that complements the spa’s wellness and social positioningwhile ensuring responsible, profitable, and consistent service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, schedule and support Bartendersduring assigned operations.
Establish standards for recipes, presentation,responsible service, cleanliness, opening/closing, and guest interaction.
Conduct beverage training and maintain strongproduct knowledge across alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings.
Coordinate closely with restaurant and culinaryleadership.
Lead daily bar setup, preparation, service,closing, and cleanliness.
Ensure all beverages are prepared consistentlyaccording to recipe, presentation, portion, and quality standards.
Monitor responsible alcohol service and ensureprovincial requirements and property policies are followed.
Maintain safe, sanitary, organized bar stationsand proper storage and rotation of products.
Coordinate beverage timing and service withServers, Kitchen and Shift Leads.
Handle guest concerns and service recoverywithin authority.
Manage beverage inventory, ordering,
receiving,transfers, counts, waste, breakage, and variance controls.
Monitor beverage cost, pour cost, pricing,sales mix, and product performance.
Maintain accurate POS, discount, void,complimentary, and cash-control practices.
Create memorable beverage experiences that workequally well for both social and wellness-focused guests.
Maintain a strong zero-proof andhydration-oriented offering alongside alcoholic beverages.
Develop seasonal features, pairings, events,and signature experiences in collaboration with culinary and spa teams.
Establish and train on bar SOPs, responsibleservice procedures, inventory controls, prep standards, and cleaning schedules.
Assist with recruitment and training Bartendersand participate in mock services.
Qualifications
Minimum 3years’ bartending experience in a restaurant or hospitality operations.
Previousleadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Provenproblem solving and teamwork skills.
Ability towork efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strongcustomer service and communication skills.
Serve ItRight Saskatchewan (SIRS) certification is required.
Safe FoodHandling Certification is an asset.
WHMIScertification is preferred.
First Aideand CPR certification is an asset.
Minimum 19years of age.
Ability towork flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsas required.
