This role is critical in maintaining material integrity and ensuring our customers receive consistent, high-quality product.
The successful candidate will operate a crane to inspect, sort, and manage ferrous material piles, ensuring proper segregation and adherence to internal quality standards.What you’re responsible for:Operating a crane to sort, move, and organize ferrous scrap materials within the yardSorting existing material piles to ensure proper classification, consistency, and complianceIdentify and remove contaminants or non-conforming materialsMaintain clear separation of grades to support processingCollaborate with yard and operations teams to ensure material flow and inventory integritySupport loading activities to ensure correct materials are shipped according to requirementsConduct routine equipment inspections and follow safe operating proceduresReport quality issues and recommend corrective actionsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualificationsYou have an operator certification and/or experience operating heavy equipmentYou have a minimum of 2 years experience operating in a heavy industrial settingYou have attention to detail and the ability to accurately position and handle different types of metal materialsYou are comfortable using various crane attachments, such as magnets or grapplesYou have familiarity with metal recycling processes, materials, and specificationsYou are comfortable working outdoors and in a heavy industrial environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
