Our centre has 3 Linear Accelerators and a CT simulator. The radiation therapist works within a multidisciplinary department team consisting of Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Oncology Nursing, Booking Clerks, Secretaries, and Health Care Aides who collaboratively provide comprehensive patient‑centred support to create the best patient experience per the values of Niagara Health. The duties and responsibilities of the Radiation Therapist include administering radiation treatment according to a radiation oncologist's orders for the delivery of radiation planning and treatment, adherence to the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) Standards of Practice, documentation of technical and patient related treatment information, integrating reflection, critical thinking, education, and relevant practical experience in problem‑solving.



The Therapist will take active participation in quality assurance programs and will be required to perform other related duties and activities as assigned.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program in Radiation TherapyCurrent registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in Radiation Therapy M.R.T(T)Current CMRITO membershipCurrent BCLS certification with ongoing re‑certification mandatoryRadiation Therapist experience of at least 3 years is an assetExcellent technical, communication, organisational, patient assessment, and critical analysis skillsExcellent interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated adaptability, flexibility, compassion, initiative when dealing with patients/familiesStrong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloadApplies NH values and qualified practice standards to patient/client care and serviceKnowledge of computer systems and general office softwareProficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an assetConsistent and regular attendance requiredQuestions, quoting the job posting number may be directed to [email protected] to ApplyIf you are interested in this position, please visit our careers page by 11:59pm January 4,
