Incident Manager – Data Engineering An Incident Manager in the Data Engineering space is responsible for managing and coordinating the resolution of production incidents affecting data platforms, pipelines, analytics, and reporting systems.
The role ensures minimal business disruption, timely communication, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of platform reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate major incidents impacting data platforms and pipelines.
Act as the primary point of contact during Sev-1 and Sev-2 incidents.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Data Engineering, Business Tower and Support teams.
Drive rapid incident triage, escalation, and service restoration.
Communicate incident status, business impact,
and resolution updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Conduct post-incident reviews and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Track and ensure completion of corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and maintain incident management processes, runbooks, and playbooks.
Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement to enhance platform reliability and resilience.
