Position Overview: The Lifeguard / Instructor at the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre provides a safe, enjoyable aquatic experience for users of the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre through public education, quality customer service and prevention of water accidents. Hours of work may include evening, daytime and weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
NLS (National Lifeguard)
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
CPR C
Lifesaving Society Instructor
AEC (Aquatic Emergency Care) or equivalent (Standard First Aid)
Desirable:
Pool Operator Level 1
BC Drivers Licence
WHMIS
Aquatic Fitness Instructor (BCRPA, CALA, YMCA or CFES)
WCB First Aid - Level 1
Food Safe
Position Information:
Wage Rate: $25.49 / hr
Status: CUPE Local 2087 - Part time
Benefits: As per the Collective Agreement
