Role Description This is a full-time, in office Accounting role based in Georgetown, ON, focused on bookkeeping and accounts receivable/accounts payable (AR/AP) for multiple divisions within Kuthala Group. Day-to-day responsibilities include recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, processing vendor invoices, preparing customer invoices, and monitoring payments and collections. The role involves maintaining accurate ledgers, assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, and preparing basic financial reports for management review.
The team member will collaborate with operations and management to resolve billing discrepancies, support audits, and ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards. The position requires consistent on-site presence to work closely with internal departments and support smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills, including general ledger maintenance, bank and account reconciliations, and accurate data entry.
- Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, and vendor management.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and comfort working with spreadsheets and financial systems.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, internal controls, and documentation standards.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in transportation, logistics, equipment, or related industries is an asset.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
