The Aircraft Maintenance
Engineer is responsible to the Base Lead and/or Deployment Lead for the performance of their work and to the DQA for the quality and regulatory compliance of their work. Accomplish the following activities for each assigned maintenance tasks performed under his/her supervision
- Review of the Technical Log, Purchase Order and associated documents for the maintenance requested
- A Work Order is initiated with appropriate check sheets and additional work sheets are attached
- Work related tasks are assigned to appropriately trained maintenance personnel
- The inspection, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul or replacement of parts is done in accordance with the Parts and Material section of the TA Policies and Procedures
- Inspection by certifying personnel has been carried out
- Dual inspections have been carried out as required
- Functional tests have been carried out as required
- A computerized maintenance release itemizing all maintenance performed and any outstanding defects is generated and entered appropriately
- Ensure the work accomplished on any aircraft or component is in compliance with: Canadian Aviation Regulations
- Company policies and procedures
- Ensure that all replacement parts are inspected, eligible and properly certified prior to installation
- Inform the DOM or his delegate of irregularities on status of required maintenance tasks
- Perform Receiving Inspection Authority functions as required
- Assist in the On-the-Job training and instruction of personnel
- Attend training courses to ensure continued qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: ~ 2 years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance (an asset); ~ Able to work independently with minimal supervision; ~ Able to work on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative and technical/specialized knowledge; ~ Able to communicate in English; ~ Experience on a commercial or military aircraft; ~ Experience in Line Maintenance in a fast-paced environment is preferred. ~ Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, Integrity ... Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and shift work according to flight operations
- Will be required to work outdoors
- Travel is required for the position
- International travel may also be required in this role Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately.
Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR: Position requires Level II clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program Multidisciplinary and multicultural collaboration at a local and global level
