Role Description The Architectural Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond Hill, ON. This position involves developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed construction drawings, and coordinating design documents to meet building codes and permitting requirements. Day-to-day tasks include creating and revising plans and elevations, supporting permit applications, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve design and technical issues.

The Architectural

Designer will participate in design reviews, ensure accuracy and consistency across drawings, and assist in project planning and documentation.



The role requires transparent communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
- Proficiency in Construction Drawings and technical Drawing for plans, elevations, and details that meet code and permitting standards.
- Understanding of Urban Planning principles and their application to site layouts, zoning considerations, and community impact.
- Experience with industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes, particularly within Ontario.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and detail in documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field; relevant qualified experience in design or permitting is an asset.
