Lead and coordinate the design of protection, control, and metering systems for electrical substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kVOwn project-level deliverables, ensuring quality, completeness, and alignment with client and project requirementsServe as Project Lead on assigned projectsDevelop and review one-line diagrams, protection schematics, and wiring diagramsLead preparation of panel layouts and interconnection drawingsPrepare and review engineering documents, specifications, and construction packagesSupport development of outage staging, inspection, and testing plansProvide technical oversight and perform design reviews of work completed by EITs and designersSupport construction and commissioning activities, including field troubleshooting and technical issue resolutionParticipate in and lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) and inspectionsAct as technical point of contact for clients during design reviews, constructability discussions, and project coordinationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and coordinated designsSupport project delivery by managing scope, schedule, and budget for assigned work packagesContribute to continuous improvement, quality assurance, internal standards, and best practicesMentor and support junior engineersRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized universityRegistered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada, or eligible for registrationMinimum 5 years of experience in utility protection, control, and metering design,
preferably within transmission and distribution projectsDemonstrated experience leading design efforts and coordinating technical deliverables on projectsFamiliarity with substation protection and control systems, including relaying schemes, AC/DC schematics, and station design practicesStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical, technically sound solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teamsProven ability to lead work, manage priorities, and deliver results in a deadline-driven environmentWorking knowledge of AutoCADCore CompetenciesDemonstrates expertise in the design and coordination of protection, control, and metering systems for electrical substations, with a solid focus on project management, technical oversight, and client communication.Highest-signal resume keywordsBachelor's Degree In Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.)
