Cloud Operations Administrator Job Type: Permanent, Full time As a Cloud Operations Administrator in our North American service delivery group, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and managing the cloud instances of CBN solutions for our Canadian government customers at the federal and provincial/territorial levels. In this position you will manage and provide ongoing support to ensure they remain highly available, reliable, and secure.
Cloud Administration
Install, configure, and maintain services, instance nodes, networks, and other IT infrastructure components. Design, maintain, and improve infrastructure‑as‑code and automation pipelines to reduce manual operations and improve reliability and repeatability.
Performance
Monitoring and Tuning ~ Monitor system and database instances performance, identify issues, and optimize performance. Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases instances from unauthorized access and threats. Troubleshooting and Support ~ Provide technical support for systems and instances in test and production environments.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and database configurations, changes, processes, and procedures. Fluent in English (speak, read, write) Able to obtain (in a timely manner)
and maintain Government of Canada Reliability (Level I) security clearances Able to work on‑call rotation (evenings, weekends) Able to travel approx. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and additional relevant work experience.
System administration Azure or AWS development DevOps practices Network protocols Technical expertise: Linux, Windows Server, cloud instances. 4‑7 years of experience of system administration/cloud operations experience ~ Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) experience CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or AWS Associate certification. Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices Technical expertise: SQL, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ruby Fluency in French (speak, read, write) Our organization is committed to employment equity and diversity in the workplace.
