Payroll Specialist Payroll Manager Air Canada
Vacations is looking for talented people to join our exciting and continually growing team. We are looking for cutting-edge and dedicated professionals who have a passion for travel and the desire to bring Air Canada Vacations to the next level. Responsible for timely and accurate preparation, administration and processing of both hourly and salaried bi-weekly payroll Oversee the audit and control activities for each payroll cycle including reconciliations and timely submission of all payroll-related statutory filings and payments.
Able to complete a full year payroll cycle, year-end, tax forms and government summaries Produce payroll, benefits, pension and other third-party reporting and payment requests Provide payroll reporting as needed, such GL, WCB, etc Provide guidance and information on payroll matters Provide assistance to external auditors during interim and annual audits of corporate payroll records Assists in the review, development and documentation of payroll policies,
procedures and controls; Support continuous improvement initiatives, implementing changes to processes and system enhancements. Respond to employee payroll enquiries and Service Canada Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards Bilingual (French and English) Minimum of 5 years of similar work experience Well versed in Canadian payroll legislation Payroll designations such as Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certifications an asset.
Experience using payroll service providers, such as Dayforce/Ceridian Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and custom reports Ability to take proactive initiative in troubleshooting and improving payroll processes Ability to develop productive relationships, willingness to collaborate and support others to complete payroll tasks and requests Our team loves to travel, and we have one of the most generous employee travel programs in the industry.
